A Little About Me
Hi! I'm Amber.
Let me introduce myself.
I'm the owner of Allure Salon and Spa in Camas, and after 30+ years in the hair industry, 15+ of them building this salon, I still believe everyone deserves hair that makes them feel like the best version of themselves. Here's my story, how I work, and why I still get excited every time someone sits in my chair.
How It All Started
I've always been
drawn to this.
I don't remember the exact moment I decided to become a hairstylist. But I do remember always being the friend who wanted to do everyone's hair before a night out, the one who noticed when someone changed their part and looked amazing. There was just something about the transformation — the way a great cut or a fresh color could completely shift how someone carried themselves.
So I went to school, got my training, and honestly? I never looked back. But I also never stopped learning. I'm at classes, following industry leaders, trying new techniques. The best stylists never stop being students. I'll be that person watching a balayage tutorial at 10 PM on a Tuesday.
They say it takes 1,000 hours to become an expert at something. I have thousands and thousands of hours behind the chair, which makes me an absolute expert when it comes to hair.
More than fifteen years ago I opened Allure Salon and Spa right here in Camas, and building it into the high-end, full-service salon it is today has been the work of my heart. I'm so proud of the team I've surrounded myself with. Honestly, the best in the business. But my first love has always been the artistry, and color and highlights are where I'm known. That's still what gets me most excited to come to work.
One thing clients tell me again and again is that I listen. Really listen, before a single strand is touched. I want to understand what you're hoping for, what your hair has been through, and how you live your life. Then we create something together. That's not a script, it's just how I've always worked, and it's why so many of my clients have been in my chair for years.
My Philosophy
What I believe
about good hair.
Listen First
I don't start with scissors. I start with questions. What do you love about your hair? What frustrates you? How much time do you actually want to spend on it in the morning? That last one is important.
Work with What You've Got
I'm not here to make you look like someone else. I'm here to make you look like the most polished, confident version of yourself. Your texture, your face shape, your lifestyle — that's my starting point.
It's a Relationship
My clients aren't appointments on a calendar. They're people I genuinely care about. I remember what we talked about last time, I check in between visits, and I want to be your stylist for years, not just one session.
My Sweet Spot
What I really
love doing.
Balayage & Lived-In Color
This is my signature. Hand-painted, dimensional, grows out like a dream. I could talk about it all day.
Precision Cutting
Bobs, layers, shapes. I geek out over a sharp, clean line.
Blonding
From babylights to platinum. I'm careful, I'm patient, and I never compromise on hair health.
Color Correction
A challenge I genuinely enjoy. We assess, we plan, we fix it. No judgment, just results.
Blowouts & Styling
There's nothing quite like the confidence of a really good blowout. Special events are my jam.
Hair Treatments
Healthy hair is beautiful hair. Deep conditioning and bond-building are non-negotiable in my chair.
Hair Extensions
Length, volume, or a little sparkle. I work with Bellami and Harper Ellis and offer hand-tied, K-tip, tinsel, clip-in, and halo methods. Every install starts with a consultation so we match the color and texture perfectly.
I want every person who sits in my chair to feel heard, cared for, and to walk out smiling every time they catch their reflection.
Ready to work
together?
I'd love to hear about your hair goals and make a plan that actually fits your life. No pressure, just good honest advice.
