Balayage is a French word that means "to sweep." Instead of foils, I hand-paint color onto your hair in a sweeping motion, creating a soft, graduated effect with natural-looking transitions between your base color and the lighter tones. Think sun-kissed, but better.

Because the color is painted away from the root, balayage grows out like a dream. There's no harsh line as your roots come in, just a soft, diffused transition that looks intentional for weeks. Most of my balayage clients come in every 10 to 14 weeks and look amazing the whole time in between.

Every color appointment starts the same way: I listen first, before a single strand is touched. We talk about what you're hoping for, what your hair has been through, and how much time you actually want to spend on it in the morning. Then I recommend the approach that makes the most sense for you, whether that's balayage, foils, or a combination.

My chair is at Allure Salon and Spa at 2005 SE 192nd Ave Ste 104 in Camas, about 15 miles from Vancouver and about 20 miles from downtown Portland.
